Taking a break

I have taken a break from both business and clay in the last couple of days. I decided it was time to use up some of my fabric stash. SO I am making myself a new shirt! I am using a pattern from Lorraine Torrence called "Closet Classic Shirt" http://www.lorrainetorrence.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi?cart_id=883733.20926.s0&product=1001&productid=1916&sales=0&lastmenu=

It's been going pretty well, I only have a couple of hours left to finish it. Then I need to make buttons to match!
I am using some beautiful over dyed fabrics I collected from Wendy Richardson "Quilt Tapestry Studio"http://www.qtstudio.com/ It's hard to see the beautiful colors in the picture, but there are a number of different colors. I am going to have a hard time choosing which ones to use for the buttons!

More and more indicators are pointing my way back to sewing. I, too, have a large stash. A couple of years ago I started a chenille bog coat and wasn't pleased with having to chenille the whole 2 yard piece BEFORE cutting up the coat. Now I have found a Vogue pattern I really like using a bit less material and the chenille is calling me again. Maybe I will wear it to Road.
